Most uninsured individuals are low-income, people of color, and live in non-expansion states. Over 40% lack consistent medical care access, and nearly 60% struggle to pay for healthcare. More than half could qualify for Medicaid or subsidies but remain uninsured. Job loss and loss of public coverage are common reasons for being uninsured.
